Trinity Episcopal Church is a classic solid masonry, historic church and visible architectural icon located near downtown Everett. The church tower is a prominent feature. The building was experiencing serious water intrusion to the interiors and in need of comprehensive exterior building envelope repairs as well as interior finish repairs to water-damaged areas. Special considerations were made to preserve the historic material fabric; reusing as much of the slate tiles as possible in the roofing repairs.
Improvements to the interiors beyond the repair of water damage included the creation of an organ loft for the installation of a new-to-the-church, historic pipe organ. The pipe organ loft installation was a challenging design project that had to visually integrate into the existing chapel, as well as be seismically independent of the existing building structure.
